We’re still keeping scores!
In July 1987, a list of 'Who is Who'was drawn up and distributed to us who were fighting for the restoration of democracy in Fiji. Naivalurua, then a CAPTAIN in the RFMF, was accused by Aiyaz Khaiyum and others of being one of the TEN Masked Soldiers who stormed Parliament to capture and overthrow the Bavadra government. Naivalurua might have forgotten 1987 but NOTKhaiyum, for to quote an old African proverb, 'The axe forgets but the tree remembers'. In 2018, Khaiyum wielded the axe by notselecting Naivalurua to fight 2018 election as a FijiFIRST Party candidate.
